By: CAP AIDSOrganized by the Canada Africa Partnership on AIDS (CAP/AIDS), the AIDS Ride for Africa (previously Bike2CAPAIDS) is an annual fundraising bike-a-thon in support of local grassroots projects aimed at overcoming HIV&AIDS in African communities. CAP/AIDS has been hosting this event since 2005 in Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa. Over the years, these bike-a-thons have generated more than $200,000 and have engaged more than 950 participants across the country. We’ll average 15-20km per hour following bike routes around Vancouver, going to Iona Island or crossing to the North Shore. The ride will go 30-50 km with a coffee break somewhere in the middle.
