Agustin Beltran - Memorial Ride

By: Ron RichingsAgustin, a 28 year old PhD student at UBC, was fatally injured Wednesday while riding in a separated bike lane on Pacific Ave.  He was struck by a large truck while crossing Hornby in the marked bike crossing.  The infrastructure at this location is among the best in the City, in terms of protection for people walking and cycling.  On Wednesday, it wasn't enough.
