We are working towards making our space more inviting for women wishing to learn more about bicycles.

Wednesday the 4th of July from 6pm to 9pm is Women’s Night at the Bike Kitchen once again! The space is for self identified women and is trans inclusive.

***If you want to participate in Bike Co-op events and do not identify as a woman please come to one of our FREE volunteer nights that happen EVERY Tuesday from 6-9pm where everyone is welcome, including men, women and all other gender identities. Thank you for your support.***

The evening will consist of shop time to work on your own bicycle with instruction and tutorials when you need them. Beginners are very encouraged to attend. Knowledgeable mechanics and volunteers will be able to answer your bike questions and help you get your ride in tip top shape.

We aim to provide a relaxed evening of fun and wrenching.

Bring: Your bad self and your bicycle – if you have one. If you don’t have one, feel free to come and pair up to help someone else fix their bike.

Very unfortunately, we are located down a flight of stairs. If you need assistance carrying your bicycle down into the space please lock your bike outside and come in to ask us for assistance. If you need ramp/elevator access please call or email us in advance and we can assist you into the space from the south side main floor access to the SUB. Bikes are not allowed inside of the SUB - so there are some major logistical issues with accessing our space. Fortunately, we have secured a more accessible space in the new SUB.

There is a gender neutral washroom on the second floor of the SUB. Washroom 253C – directly two floors above the Bike Kitchen. If you use the north stairs (closest to the Bike Kitchen) the washroom is located to your left, just around the corner once you reach the top of the stairs.
