Muma ride - East Side Murals
Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 4:00pm. Meet at 4pm. Please be on time.
By: Rohit and JaniceThere are over 120 murals in the city of Vancouver. These narrative and expressive works that line the walls of our community have persisted and evolved through the life of our city and have represented seeds for social change, community engagement and symbols of unity and solidarity. Mumbai to Manila as well as the city of Vancouver are a strong supporter of community Murals. Come join us on a laid back Sunday afternoon cycling through the east side of our city checking out numerous murals that adorn and paint the artistic landscape of one of the most livable cities in the world. There are close to 40 murals in the east side, we will try to cover as many as possible at our own pace. We will take a group photo at each of the murals and let one participant comment on it. As the tour progresses we will make sure that everyone gets an opportunity to comment on atleast one mural. We will end the tour at Strathcona park. We will have an optional potluck at the end.
