Cycle and Sketch
Cycle and sketch is exactly what it sounds like--a fun ride through the city with numerous 20-minute stops to capture the views by putting them on paper. Cycling gives the freedom to make sketches of several neighbourhoods in one go: from heritage Strathcona streets to urban views of Downtown, from the deep green of Stanley park to the warm colours of the sunset in English Bay. Along the way, we hope you will meet new friends, find inspiration in the work of others, and enjoy an evening of sketching and riding. Whether you are an artist, a sketching guru, or a beginner, everyone is welcome!
Details
The ride will start at 6:30pm from MacLean park (closer to the Hawkes&East Georgia side). We will try to tweet (@colourpixie) along the route at sketching locations in case others are behind or want to find us. Participants can stay with the group or go off on their own, doing part or all of this ride. Estimating the end time to be 8:30pm in English Bay.

TIP: if it rains – carry your materials in a waterproof sac. There are some covered spaces along the route to stop at. I’m looking forward to all of the beautiful, candid Vancouver scenes Rain Or Shine!
