By pinpointing the acts of a sadistic Ben-Gvir, Minister of National Security in Israel’s cabinet - it is making him a scapegoat when in fact the entire Israeli government is implicated in war crimes. Decades into the ethnic cleansing and over two and a half years into the genocide, the recent statement is too late and too little - a performative act. Condemning the actions of one Israeli minister by Canadian officials is therefore hardly sufficient. We demand that Canada end all ties with Israel until that country ends the occupation, stops the genocide, and allows Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes to live in peace, justice and free of apartheid, settler colonial oppression.

And so - we ride for Palestine!
