Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo. You can play a few non-competitive games of pick-up, or just to say hi and check things out. Bring your friends, too! You can use your own bike, or borrow one at the loaner bikes. Ride departs just after 8:00. Easy cruise to the 9 O’clock Gun and Salmon back over to Oasis (between 2nd and 3rd beach), Third Beach by trails, or Beaver Lake until the Seawall is fixed up. By: Bike KitchenGender Liberation Night is a monthly Access Night for cis-women and trans and/or non-binary people of all genders to use the UBC Bike Kitchen’s shop space and tools, supported by informal mentoring. The purpose of the night is to offer a more welcoming, safer atmosphere in which people who are typically marginalized within the cycling community because of their gender identity and/or expression can work on their bikes, learn mechanics, and form connections.
