Seventy Years of Vancouverism: Exploring urban density from the West End to Senakw

Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10:00am - 1:00pm. Depends how many times we stop along the way!

Meet At:

English Bay
Notes: Next to the 'A - mazing - Laughter sculpture
By: Gordon PriceJoin past-city councillor Gordon Price on a circumnavigation of False Creek, from the West End to the site of the Senakw project at Burrard Bridge.

Along the way, you'll see examples of Vancouver's experiments in livable urban density, from the 1950s West End to 1990s North Shore False Creek to the 1970s South Shore - with proposals for 2020s megaprojects.

Of course, what connects them all is the Seaside Bikeway, one of our most important achievements in creating a great city.
