Come Meet Spokesmama

Wednesday, July 6, 2022, 7:30pm - 8:00pm
By: OCBCome and hear Lisa, aka Spokesmama at Our Community Bikes' WTQ Night, and learn about her experience, tips, and tactics for cycling with little ones, followed by a Q&A.

This workshop is from 7:30 to 8pm. There is limited capacity, and an RSVP is required. Masks are no longer mandatory, but encouraged at this event and will be worn by program staff.

WTQ Night is Our Community Bikes' twice a month night where we open our doors after hours to women, trans, and queer identifying people to use the shop and have specific opportunity to further their mechanic skills.

Though we strive to always make Our Community Bikes a safer space for all people and genders, these shop hours specifically welcome people who may have felt marginalized by the bike industry as a whole because of their gender or sexual orientation.

WTQ nights are staffed by women and gender variant mechanics. Our Community Bikes recognizes that bicycle shops and accessibility to mechanical knowledge is dominated by hetero cisgendered men. WTQ night hopes to make this knowledge more diffuse amongst marginalized communities through peer based education.

WTQ Night is the 1st & 3rd Wednesday each month.
